We took advantage of a gorgeous fall day to get outside and enjoy the sunshine and fall colors.

Collin took off on his bike, leaving Lauren Kate and I in the dust.

While he hot-rodded around on the trail,

Lauren had a blast wandering and checking out the leaves.

Also on Lauren's agenda?  Being silly with Mama's shades.

Happy fall, y'all!

water guns!

Water guns were 2 for 75 cents at Safeway this week, and we've had a lot of fun with them!

Lauren doesn't shoot hers much, but she thinks it's hilarious to watch and she also likes to drink from her gun...

Collin, of course, is a professional shooter.

It's the simple things.

Lauren Kate :: 25 months

We love you, precious girl!

family night out

We went down to the city campground for s'mores and family time to celebrate Grandma Lee's birthday.

Lauren Kate was super excited!

Collin Cooper was beyond excited to hit the open road on his bike.  See ya, buddy!

Collin learned a new game:  hopscotch!

I drew a standard hopscotch board for him, and then he added at least 20 more squares.

Go, Collin, go!

jobsite fun

This little cute and I had a giggly fun time at Daddy's jobsite the other day.

She kept climbing in and out, and then she realized she could sit on top and pretend to ride.  "Neigh" is what she says when she wants a ride.

Pulling the rope totally cracked her up and she couldn't stop giggling.

Where was Collin while the shenanigans were going on?  Working, of course!

best friends

Two peas in a pod

and monkey see, monkey do. :-)

Collin and Lauren are developing a sweet friendship and seeing them show compassion towards each other is precious!  They don't always get along, of course, but these days the time is more often spent cooperating and being friends.

cousin love

Abbie came to visit Collin and Lauren at the jobsite, and it was so cute to watch how the "big kids" were taking care of Lauren!  She totally soaks it up.

Collin the driver

Dude is an excellent driver.  He maneuvers well, even in reverse, and is quite impressive for his age.

He's also a little dramatic...

"Mama, Lauren, I felt a raindrop!  We better get inside before my gator gets wet."

He has three possessions on him at all times:  watch, keys, and phone.

The keys are for his fire truck, his campground, and his old pickup.  He's willing to admit that the phone isn't real, but he still insists on carrying it.  The watch?  He checks the time at least every other minute.

Silly boy, we love you so!
