We've moved into mostly 3t clothes and she wears size 6 shoes.
She isn't big, but she is brave! She climbs stairs upright without using the hand railing, she jumps off everything, and she thinks it's hilarious to be wrestled and thrown around. She likes us to watch when she's doing tricks, and she'll wait until she has our attention.
It's been a huge month for vocabulary development! Lauren has picked up tons of new words and often uses 2-3 together. She's always been so quiet, so it's fun to hear her voice and have her participate in conversations! One of my favorite new words is "backpack," and we've noticed an improvement in pronunciation of many words so she's getting much easier to understand.
Lauren is very observant and attentive to details. Once she has noticed something out of place, she cannot relax until it's taken care of. She remembers where everything belongs, and she won't walk away until she has finished the task she's working on. She knows what she likes and she's persistent to make it happen!
Lauren loves playing pretend. Her favorite pretend scenarios are a three-way tie: being a mama, being a puppy, and being a baby. She's thorough in the way she pretends! When she goes "buh-bye," she'll pretend step into boots, get her baby buckled and covered, put on her purse, kiss me, and then say "buh-bye" as she walks away with the stroller.
She loves baby dolls, and Lauren loves real-life babies too. "Baby" refers to anyone who is Lauren's size or smaller, and it's funny to watch her shepherd little people around like a little mother hen.
Lauren also loves to sing and dance. She sings "roll over" (there were 3 in the bed and the little one said...), she "sings" her ABCs by always being on tune but nearly never saying the correct letters, and she often hums Amazing Grace. Her dancing style varies depending on her mood, but she likes us to watch her dance, or even better - join in!
We love you, precious girl, and we're so grateful for the light you bring to our lives!
